About the Project
Chagrin Valley Hemp Company (CVHC) is a local processor & manufacturer, crafting the highest-quality hemp products available. CVHC holds extremely high standards for sourcing, manufacturing & product testing, but the packaging was best described as "office printer basic." In order to demonstrate the premium quality of the products & be considered by bigger box stores, the packaging needed an upgrade.
Goals:
→ Design premium-level labels for various brand products.
→ Find vendors that can produce luxury product labels.
Project Challenges:
→ In the hemp industry, compliance content is a government requirement. Text must meet a size minimum & certain info must be easily visible on the package.
→ To reduce waste, products must minimal packaging. That means no exterior boxes, double labels, or product inserts. And the number of labels should be kept to a minimum. Essentially, all product & compliance info must fit on the surface of the containers.
My Role:
I was the lead designer.
CBD Warming & Cooling Salve is available in 1oz & 2oz aluminum tins. No additional product packaging was needed to meet the compliance information requirements.
